Daryl Joyce is a Senior Principal Horticulturist (Postharvest) at the Queensland Department of Agriculture & Fisheries (QDAF). He works within QDAF’s supply chain innovation focus team. Daryl’s research encompasses the biology and technology of fruit and vegetable crops. His value chain orientated focus is on development and optimisation of industry practices, based on understanding the physiology of fresh produce. Daryl’s current work focus is ‘measuring and monitoring to manage’ sub-tropical and tropical fruit and vegetable quality from production to consumption.
