KCT pack house application update

KCT pack house application update

25-October-2017

Citrus Australia’s Citrus Quality and Market Information Manager Nathan Hancock says that so far 46 pack houses have completed applications for registration since the system opened on 16 October 2017.

“The response has been great, we are working through some changes in ownership for a few businesses and there have been some enquiries from new applicants too,” says Nathan. “I expect that will also be the case as we open the tree census and KCT grower applications too.

“Our new team member Nicole Zerveas is on board and working with packers at the moment to ensure their applications are completed correctly.”

Applications for registration of pack houses are necessary for:

  • South Korea (excluding Queensland)
  • China (all states)
  • Thailand (all states)
  • Taiwan (South Australia only)
  • Japan (South Australia only)
  • New Zealand (all states)
  • USA (excludes Queensland and Western Australia)

The Citrus Tree Census and KCT grower application processes open on 1 November 2017.

Nicole can be contacted at nicole.zerveas@citrusaustralia.com.au at the office on 03 5023 6333 and on mobile 0499 044 111.
