Building Better Businesses provides farm consultants to growers

Building Better Businesses provides farm consultants for growers

22 November 2021

There is an opportunity for WA citrus growers to participate in the recently launched Building Better Businesses Program pending a sufficient level of interest. At least 12 citrus growers are required to initiate industry investment.

The program is focused on building longer-term business resilience in the horticulture industry by focusing on business and financial management and linking that to actual business performance.

The 3-year program will connect business owners with expert farm consultants, to take an “an honest and thorough look” at their business and where they can make improvements.

The consultants will work with individual growers on business analysis, data collection and examining farm management practices. PlanFarm is the highly experienced consultancy in the project.

The growers from the WA citrus regional advisory group highly recommended the process of business analysis as well as the opportunity to discuss as an industry.

Citrus Australia is seeking a written expression of interest by 30th December, 2021, as well as your commitment to participate. A minimum time commitment is required.

Please lodge your interest with Jeff Milne at jeff.milne@citrusaustralia.com.au

You can find more information here www.buildingwahorticulture.com.au, including the consultants being used, data confidentiality, and time commitment. For further information, call Bronwyn Walsh, WA Citrus Industry Development Manager, on 0400 873 875, or Jeff Milne, Citrus Australia, on (03) 5023 6333.
