Exirel finally registered

Exirel finally registered

13-September-2017

After many years of cooperation between Dupont, Citrus Australia and EE Muir and Sons, Exirel is now registered, as of 14 August, for use on citrus to control Kelly’s citrus thrips, light brown apple moth, and Fuller’s rose weevil.

This is an exciting development in the fight against pests particularly for growers in the Korea, China, Thailand export program. Being a new product, growers and packers are encouraged to test for residues when producing fruit for export next season. Citrus Australia is working with the National Residue Survey and Symbio laboratories to develop test procedures to fit within the citrus residue monitoring program.
