Export marketing programs for the second half of the year have been finalised by Horticulture Innovation Australia.
The 2016 Orange Marketing Program will concentrate on the Now In Season campaign, Trade Shows and support for Australian Fresh.
The Now In Season campaign is a multi-industry, multi-country initiative, managed by Ecodev Victoria, that promotes premium quality Australian Fruit. Queensland mandarin growers will also participate in the program this year.
The program will continue to build on in-market promotional activities, particularly around collateral development, public relations, retail promotions and e-commerce.
This season’s activities are in the final stages of planning and will run from August through to October in key markets – China, Japan, the Phillippines, and Thailand.

Highlights include:
• Retail in-store launches and promotions.
• Promotion through social and traditional media, including recipes
• e-commerce promotion
• In-store branded collateral
• Local media personalities
• Merchandising and cold chain management training for supermarket front liners
• In-store tasting demonstrations
• Point-of-purchase posters and fact sheets raising health benefits of Australian citrus varieties

The Australian Pavilion at this year’s Asia Fruit Logistica will be 30% larger, with 12 new exhibitors on board, six of which are Citrus exporters.
The event will be held from September 7-9 at the Asia World-Expo in Hong Kong.
Australia Fresh will attend the China World Fruit & Vegetable Trade Fair (China FVF) for the sixth time.
The event will be held from October 30 to November 1 at the China National Convention Centre, Beijing, China.
The incentive to participating in this show is the access it offers to key Chinese decision makers to maintain and advance Australia’s market access goals.
An Australia Pavilion will also be held at the World of Perishables trade show for the first time. The event will be held from November 13-15 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
Any exporters interested in attending this are encouraged show to get in touch with the trade events team.
